Borçka Karagöl

Anyone who sets out to count how many Karagöls there are in Turkey will have a hard time of it. On the Black Sea, in the Aegean, in the East… Many a lake with dark waters and wooded shores bears the same name, “black lake.” The odd thing is that Artvin alone has two separate Karagöls: one in the mountains of Şavşat, the other in the forests of Borçka.
