Göbeklitepe

“First came the temple, then the city.” This saying, attributed to Klaus Schmidt, the German archaeologist who introduced Göbeklitepe to the world, turned much of what we thought we knew about human history upside down. The answer is still debated; but isn’t the question itself fascinating enough?
