Have you ever imagined that a rose could be black? The karagül, the black rose that blooms in Halfeti, is actually born with deep red petals; but in the summer sun it takes on such a dark hue that from afar you would take it for black. They say that if you carry this rose anywhere beyond Halfeti’s soil, it loses its color… As if this flower refuses to mourn anywhere but its homeland.
