How many owners does a castle have in its lifetime? Ask Ravanda, and counting on your fingers would hardly be enough… Standing on a hill above the valley of the Afrin River, this castle passed from Byzantium to the Crusaders, from the Crusaders to Muslim dynasties, and from them to the Ottomans; yet each time it stayed on the same hill, gazing over the same valley.
