Munzur Mountains

“Both worlds fit within me, but I do not fit into this world,” says Seyyid Nesimi. Imagine hearing this line from the mouth of a mountain; a mountain whose peaks rise above three thousand four hundred meters, whose ridges bear the traces of glaciers, stretching out in a long range… Looking at the Munzur Mountains, you can’t help thinking how well Nesimi’s words suit such majesty. After all, if a mountain set out to describe the world it holds within, it could hardly put it more briefly.
