Palu

When a king has words carved into rock, how many people does he imagine will read them? A hundred, a thousand, or strangers arriving thousands of years after him? The Urartian inscription on the castle rock of Palu still seems to be waiting for the answer… Perhaps the king wanted to test the patience of whoever would one day read it.
