Zeugma

Imagine a face whose eyes follow you into whatever corner you move… It never quite smiles, nor quite grieves; as if it were about to say something and thought better of it at the last moment. That famous mosaic of Zeugma known as the “Gypsy Girl” waited beneath the earth for nearly two thousand years, until one day it turned this gaze back upon the world. So what did that gaze see when it opened its eyes?
